We are a group of 8 girls ranging from the ages 9-13 from Cape Naturaliste Gymnastics Academy, located in Busselton WA. 2021 Contemporary Summer Workshops
Austinmer Dance Theatre's annual Summer Workshops are the perfect platform for young dancers to get themselves mentally and physically ready for the training year ahead! Participants will have the opportunity to work with and alongside qualified and experienced company members in this one or two day workshop, held in the Northern Suburbs of Wollongong. Offering contemporary technique, exclusive international and national repertoire and valuable improvisation techniques all delivered in our unique Austi way and a COVID safe environment. Dates: 19-20 January 2021 Ages: 8 -12 & 13yrs & over
Box Hill Reporter Digitization Project
The Box Hill Historical Society is seeking to raise funds to have additional copies of the Box Hill Reporter newspaper digitized and placed on Trove, the National Library of Australia website, where they can be freely viewed by anyone. The early period, from 1889 to 1918 has already been placed on Trove. The Society holds paper copies from the period 1919 to 1930, but these have developed mould and thus pose an occupational health and safety issue, and have had to be quarantined. The National Library have provided a quote of $7,892.50 to digitize the papers for this period, using the microfilms held by the State Library. We have obtained a grant from Whitehorse Council and raised funds from a raffle, trivia night and secondhand book sales, but are still around $1,000 short of the target.
Sydney Secondary College Balmain Fundraiser
As you all know, our school was broken into during the April school holidays, with extensive damage to school property and equipment, particularly the marine studies room, where almost all tanks were smashed, killing hundreds of fish, snails, yabbies and aquatic plants cared for by our staff and students. The outpouring of support and offers of donations and assistance has been indicative of the wonderful community in which we live and where our children attend school. To assist the school in repairing and replacing equipment for our school, particularly to rebuild the marine science room, the P&C have set up this fundraising page to facilitate donations. Artist & Regenerative Farmers building a Better future
Earth Canvas is a non for profit group. We have linked with 6 Leading Australian Artists and 6 Regenerative farmers. The farms are between the Murray and Murrumbidgee Rivers along the SW Slopes of NSW. The artists are producing a body of Artworks to be displayed at November open days on the farms from November 9 & 10, 16 & 17 and Nov 30 & Dec 1. We are inviting who wants to visit a working farm that is producing healthy food. People who want to learn about the importance of building functioning ecosystems to build a better future for the Earth. We can all be part of the solution for climate change by making better decisions. We think Artists can help us see the landscape from an different perspective and with more respect. If your food is from healthy soil, plants & animals & the environment is regenerating we can be become part of the solution. Finsart Inc. is creating an International Touring Plan to spread the message and power of KALI. This will be an ongoing initiative to share the dance performance globally.
